Since March, a new pop-up store has been blooming in the heart of the Galerie du Roi. A delicate showcase where the graceful, luminous botanical universe of Brussels-based jeweller Coralie Van Caloen comes to life.
For the past 17 years, the designer has been shaping a signature that is instantly recognisable. Her philosophy is clear: to work exclusively with noble, refined materials. Gold, precious stones and fine gemstones lie at the very heart of her collections. “In Belgium, you simply can’t afford to work any other way,” she explains. High-end craftsmanship feels like an obvious choice: diamonds, sapphires, tourmalines, aquamarines… and above all colour, which has become one of her defining signatures.
Trained at La Cambre and later at the International Gemological Institute in Bombay, India, Coralie went on to refine her eye in London, notably within the Alexander McQueen atelier. Back in Brussels, she launched her own house under her own name. Her aesthetic is slender, fluid and resolutely contemporary while remaining timeless. Gold enhances the vibrant tones of the stones, while the purity of the materials reveals the delicacy of the design. Every piece is imagined by Coralie and crafted in her Antwerp workshop.
“Each piece of jewellery is a challenge,” she says. “Today, women are looking for refined, wearable designs they can wear every day. Statement sets reserved for special occasions no longer hold the same place. Jewellery needs to move with the active life of the modern woman.”
In this shift in how jewellery is worn, the ring remains the undisputed bestseller: easy to wear, expressive and deeply personal. Coralie’s collections poetically reinterpret ginkgo, fig and vine leaves, the delicacy of the insect world, and bold combinations of coloured stones. Earrings, bracelets and necklaces: every piece radiates joy and lightness.
Always attentive to her clients, Coralie Van Caloen also creates bespoke jewellery. Engagement rings or one-of-a-kind pieces, she transforms each client’s personality and wishes into precious creations.
